For the past decade, no Ghanaian club haseliminateda North African side from the CAF Inter-club competition.

 

Ashanti Goldin the preliminary round eliminated Akonangui club of Equatorial Guineato set up this clash against RSBerkane.

The Moroccan team were runners up in last year’s competition after losing to Zamalekin the finals.
