KELME Galaxy Sports BSC launched its entry into the Nigeria Beach Soccer League with a great performance.
The Benue State team, currently singlehandedly supported by one of the foreign based football expert, Mr. Austin Akpehe has come out strong to right his name on the history books.
The founder of Galaxy Sports Academy world wide has called upon the governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Dr. Samuel Ortom to have mercy on this young project. "We need the support of our Daddy in Benue State. Without the acceptance and support of His Excellency, we would have to fold up and move on to the FCT and invest on other projects"
"This is a social development project that the current government has pledged to be a party to. I have started the work but need the partnership with the current government to make it fly"
"My young players are currently stranded in Ilorin, Kwara State without logistics to continue to the next stage"
The aim of participating in the Nigeria Beach Soccer League is to expose our players for national call ups to the Sand Eagles of Nigeria and to also expose these young lads from Benue State to the national and international platforms. Our team is the only private team participating in the league and also the youngest in this league. We are also new comers to the league.
"My aim is to revive football in Benue State and I believe I am God sent to the Benue people. I am offering free consultancy services to the state government." This is the only way I can also give back with my expertise.
Yesterday's game started with a painful defeat to team Benue, Kelme Galaxy BSC. The presence of the SA on Youth and Sports to the governor, Mr. Attahiru Ibrahim and the Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Mr. Kayode Alabi, boosted the moral of the teams and the organizers of this event.
Team Kelme Galaxy BSC left Makurdi on road. They spent a whole day since the vehicle disappointed the team. They arrived Ilorin just 5 minutes before their first game. The organizers offered to have our team worked over but our boys insisted in playing. We lost to the best team in this series Kada BSC! This morning the Kelme Galaxay BSC will be up against Igbogbo Kingdom Patagi.
